The Swiss Tattoo Museum Basel collects tattoo artifacts, tattoo artwork, tattoo flash, documents, and historical memorabilia that illuminate the diverse social, cultural, economic, political, military, and religious history of Tattooing. Presenting to the public tattoo artwork from around the world, with the main focus recognizing the tattoo artists living and working in Switzerland. Our Tattoo Museum, Art Gallery and lounge is an interactive experience for both children and adults.
An educational and cultural destination in Basel, the Swiss Tattoo Museum Basel is supported largely through private donations made by private individuals, small business, corporations and foundations.
